WOW Malia and Sasha Obama Look Gorgeous at First State Dinner; 'They Grow Up Too Fast,' Says Dad

In case, after yesterday’s flood of #TBTs on Instagram, you needed one more thing to highlight how quickly time flies by and make you feel older than you already do, Malia and Sasha Obama attended their very first state dinner on Thursday night at the White House, causing us all to reflect on how exactly these two girls have transformed into elegant young women before our eyes.
And clearly we’re not the only ones feeling the sands of time slipping through our fingers. Delivering his opening remarks, President Obama became emotional when speaking about his daughters, saying, “When I was first elected to this office, Malia was just 10 and Sasha was 7. And they grow up too fast. Now Malia is going off to college … And I’m starting to choke up.” Thankfully, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was honored at the dinner, was able to add a little levity to the situation. As the son of a former Canadian prime minister himself, he praised the President’s daughters for their poise and fortitude while growing up in the spotlight. Quite frankly, the memories for me of being a kid and not being old enough to attend these kinds of events with my father almost makes me wish I had gone through my teenage years as a child of a world leader — but not quite,” he joked, before adding. “I admire you very much, both of you, for your extraordinary strength and your grace, through what is a remarkable childhood and young adulthood that will give you extraordinary strength and wisdom beyond your years for the rest of your life. The one thing that you have received from your extraordinary parents is the tools to be able to handle the challenges and the opportunities in front of you. What do you think of Malia and Sasha’s looks for their first state dinner? Sound off below!

LADY B (BeeBee)

Since Beyoncé dropped her latest project called 'Lemonade' this weekend, the web is abuzz with speculation about "Becky with the good hair" aka a mystery woman who was involved in alleged acts of infidelity with Bey's husband, Jay-Z. Both the hour-long music piece that aired on HBO and the new album called "'Lemonade" are full of juicy lyrics about turning life's lemons (like an alleged affair, for example) into lemonade (a top-selling album). Even better, Queen Bey reveals her lemonade recipe and here at TODAY Food, we had to try it for ourselves. Our team was unanimous: it's delicious. Take it away Bey: Ingredients 1 pint water 1/2 pound sugar* 8 lemons, juiced 1/2 lemon, zested Directions "Take one pint of water, add a half pound of sugar, the juice of eight lemons... ...the zest of half lemon. Pour the water from one jug, then into the other, several times. Strain through a clean napkin." Editor's note: Yeah, that's a lot of sugar! But we're guessing the Beyhive needs an overdose of sweetness to get it through this alleged salty scandal. UPDATE: We all have sugar headaches from trying this. So proceed with caution..

Mom embraces stretch marks in her Calvins for powerful photo-shoot

It took stripping down to her Calvin Kleins in front of a camera for Brenda DeRouen to love her body again. And now, the single mom's sexy photo-shoot — in which her stretch marks are on full display — has gone viral, empowering women and reminding the world that every body is perfectly imperfect. Brenda DeRouen, a single mom in Texas whose body-positive photo-shoot has gone viral DeRouen, 26, had a baby when she was 17 years old, and despite being a generally positive and upbeat person, a part of her has always struggled with self-acceptance and body image ever since, she told TODAY. DeRouen, author of the Oh! Brenda blog, wanted to write a post about self-acceptance, and she figured the best place to start was with her own confidence issues. She teamed up with photographer Deun Ivory for the photo-shoot, which took place last weekend in Houston where both women live. Photos like this one show off DeRouen's stretch marks. "Our goal was basically to empower women to not be afraid to reveal themselves and embrace those features that society deems as imperfection," Ivory told TODAY. "It was really organic — we put on Beyonce and Drake and it was just amazing. This mom's photo-shoot has gone viral. We've kind of brainwashed ourselves with this idea of perfection," she continued. Almost immediately after the images went viral, many compared the photo-shoot to Kendall Jenner's popular Calvin Klein's ad campaign. But DeRouen and Ivory say they weren't intending to recreate Jenner's image — in fact, they weren't even familiar with it. She's beautiful and she's owning her body and she's confident in her skin," DeRouen said. "I'm not hating on that; I think that's awesome! That's what I want for other women. To feel comfortable and confident in their skin, and to know there is no such thing as a perfect body." "Confidence is the best accessory a girl can wear," she added. "That confidence and that energy — people will see that and notice it, and that's what makes someone beautiful." Both Ivory and DeRouen have been flooded with comments from women thanking them for the images. "I know what viral means, but to experience it myself is just a whole different level," Ivory said. "I'm so
